Voluntary Prayers
Should he do more tawaaf or more prayers in al-Masjid al-Haraam?
SaveIs praying two rak‘ahs between the Adhan and Iqamah mustahabb for women as well as for men?
The Sunnah indicates that it is mustahabb to pray two rak‘ahs between each two calls [adhaan and iqaamah], and the basic principle with regard to Islamic rulings is that they include both men and women, so long as there is no evidence to indicate that the ruling applies exclusively to men and not to women, or vice versa. There is no evidence to indicate that this matter applies only to men, to the exclusion of women, so the ruling remains as is, which is that praying two rak‘ahs between the adhaan and iqaamah is mustahabb for both men and women, whether that is in the mosque or at home.SaveShould You Pray Tahiyyat al-Majid or Sunnah Prayer of Fajr?
The best is to pray only the Sunnah prayer of Fajr, and that takes the place of tahiyyat al-masjid, just as the obligatory prayer also takes the place of tahiyyat al-masjid.SaveShould he offer the regular Sunnah prayers if he puts prayers together when not travelling?
SaveCan Tarawih Count as the Sunnah of `Isha’?
It is valid to pray Tarawih with the intention of `Isha’ Sunnah, but scholars recommend performing the Sunnah of `Isha’ separately. If needed, a person may pray the first two Rak`ahs of Tarawih with the intention of `Isha’ Sunnah, as long as they understand that Tarawih is a distinct prayer.SaveHow much should the imam recite in Taraweeh, and the ruling on singling out Soorat al-Ikhlaas to recite in the second rak‘ah
SaveCan he pray two rak‘ahs with more than one niyyah (intention)?
SaveIt is Sunnah for the one who recites the verse Sabbih isma Rabbika al-A‘la to say Subhaana Rabbiy al-A‘la
SaveIs it Sunnah to separate one naafil prayer from another by moving to the first spot or to another spot?
SaveThe Virtue of Offering 4 Rak`ahs after `Isha’
It is proven that the Prophet used to pray four Rak`ahs after `Isha’. As for the Hadiths which speak of the virtue of doing so, they are all extremely inauthentic; the best and strongest of them is the Hadith of Ibn `Umar, despite the fact that it is inauthentic.Save
