Udhiyah is one of the great rituals of Islaam, in which we remember the Unity of Allaah, His blessings upon us and the obedience of our father Ibraaheem, may Allaah exalt his mention, to his Lord. There is great goodness and many blessings in this act, so the Muslim must pay special attention to its great importance.

The meanings of supplications

No one with understanding will doubt that the need of the Muslims today for means of steadfastness is greater than that of their brethren at the time of the salaf, and that the effort required to achieve that is greater, because of the corruption of our times, and the scarcity of brothers (in faith), the weakness of helpers and the lack of supporters. This book discusses the most important means of steadfastness that will help one to reach safe ground by Allah’s leave.

It is well-known that some of those who follow their desires, who are weak at heart, become irritated when they hear lists of prohibitions. They grumble and mutter, “Everything is haraam, you haven’t left us anything that is not forbidden! You make our lives boring and miserable. You don’t talk about anything but what is haraam, but religion is supposed to be easy, not strict, and Allaah is Forgiving and Merciful.” This essay was written to address these issues.

A book that discusses the issue of Khushu` (proper focus and humility in prayer) and the factors that will help the Muslim to pray with presence of mind and humility before Allah, may He be glorified and exalted.

Allah has commanded all the believers to repent. People may be divided into two types, those who repent and turn to Allaah, and those who do wrong; there is no third category. We are living in a time when many people have strayed far from the religion of Allah, and sin and immorality have become so widespread that there is no one who remains free from the taint of evil except for the one who is protected by Allah. However, Allah will not allow but that His light should be perfected, thus many people have awoken from the slumber of negligence. They have become aware of their failure to fulfil their duties towards Allah, have regretted their carelessness and sin, and so have started to move towards the beacon of repentance. Others have grown weary of this wretched life of misery, and so they are looking for a way out of darkness and into the Light. But these people face many obstacles which they think stand between them and repentance, some of which exist within their own selves, and others in the world around them. For this reason I have written this brief work, hoping to clear up this confusion, dispel doubts, explain wisdom and drive away the Shaytan.

Teaching people is one of the greatest good deeds whose benefits spread to others. It is the daiy’ahs’ and educators’ share of the heritage of the Prophets and Messengers. Dealing with and correcting mistakes is also a part of sincerity in religion (naseehah) which is a duty on all Muslims.
