The authentic Sunnah indicates that it is permissible to kiss the deceased after death, whether he was a relative or otherwise. It is permissible for men to kiss the deceased man, and it is permissible for women to kiss the deceased woman.

Shrouding the deceased in white cloth is a highly recommended practice in Islam, following the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad. Although using other materials is permissible, white is favored due to its purity and association with cleanliness.

• Whether the dead person is aware of the one who visits him or not, this requires clear evidence. But it does not matter to us whether the dead person is aware of it or not; we have to follow the Sunnah. • If the visitor stands at the graveside, there is nothing wrong with that, and if he stands at the edge of the graveyard and gives the greeting of Salam, that is sufficient.
