Some of the rights of mother in Islam are: 1- Love and respect, 2- Taking care of her and looking after her affairs, 3- Not offending her, 4-Spending on her if she is in need.

The wife takes precedence over the mother in one matter only, and that is spending. If the husband is poor and cannot afford to spend on both his wife and his mother, then his wife comes before his mother.

Honouring parents in Islam is obedience to Allah and His Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Obeying and honouring one's parents is a means of entering Paradise. Respecting and honouring parents brings friendship and love. Respecting and obeying parents is a way of showing gratitude to them because they are the ones who brought you into this world.

The best ways to deal with a misbehaving mother: -Treat your mother well. -Gently advise her, from time to time, to give up her bad behaviour. -Explain to her how sinful her deeds are and what punishment awaits her if she does not stop. -If she does not respond, then keep away from her in a good way. -Do not mix with her in ways that will adversely affect your religion, but do not upset her either.
