The Muslim should not speak of anything except that which he knows for certain, and he should avoid speaking on the basis of speculation, conjecture and possibilities, except within the limits dictated by interests, when one may sometimes speak in that manner.

If you intended to fast `Ashura but you didn’t fast deliberately, you will not get any reward. If you forgot to fast `Ashura, we hope you will get rewarded. If you didn’t fast `Ashura because of sickness, we hope you will get rewarded.

How to Fear Allah: -Read the Quran and reflect on its meanings -Call to mind how serious and terrifying the matter of sin is -Fear Allah by doing acts of obedience and worship, and refrain from evil deeds and prohibited things -Respect the sacred limits of Allah -Know Allah by His names and attributes -Know the virtue of those whose hearts are filled with awe of Allah -Ponder the stories of those who feared Allah and how they reached this status by means of faith and righteous deeds -Reflect upon the verses that speak of punishment and warnings, descriptions of Hell and the condition of its inhabitants, and what they will suffer of eternal misery, wretchedness and torment -Know your real situation and remember that you are weak and insignificant; if Allah so willed He could hasten the punishment for you. So one who is like this should fear his Lord. -Reflect upon the stories of the wrongdoers and sinners whom Allah punished for their sins -Reflect upon the condition of the people on the Day of the greatest fear and the great distress that they will feel -Listen to moving exhortations and heart-stirring lectures -Remember Allah a great deal

The reward for good deeds in Ramadan is multiplied in both quantity and quality, making this month an exceptional time for worship. While Islamic teachings do not specify an exact factor, acts of fasting, prayer, charity, and remembrance of Allah are highly encouraged. Laylat Al-Qadr offers rewards greater than a thousand months, and performing `Umrah in Ramadan is equivalent to Hajj in reward.
