Ruling on travelling to offer condolences

Question: 12326

What is the ruling on travelling to offer condolences and staying with the family of the deceased?

Answer

Praise be to Allah, and blessings and peace be upon the Messenger of Allah.

That depends on the situation of the family of the deceased. If that will be a burden on them, then it is not permissible. But if they would like it, then there is nothing wrong with that. There are no restrictions on this matter.
